Home inspection request process

For home owners who want to have their homes inspected for safety and compliance with the city's bylaws and regulations for residential dwellings, the first thing to do is to call the Inspection and Licensing department's Inspection Request line. You will then be asked for your home's permit number, address, and desired date for the conduct of inspection. You can also request for a home inspection via fax, but you'll first have to secure the Inspection Request Form, which can be downloaded from the city government's website. If you want a same-day inspection, make sure you place your request before 8:30am because requests phoned or faxed in after the said time will be processed and entered the next day.
